The problem is that you have to drink directly from a source. It doesn't have any way to filter water just for the sake of filtering, you have to suck on it like a big juicy cock. Meaning you can't filter water for cooking, cleaning, etc.

I use a sawyer mini with two smartwater 1L bottles and a platypus if I'm going innadesert. I'm an ultralightfag, so it does exactly what I want.
