Not sure why people think huskies are so difficult to train. My family and I have a few and have fostered a bunch (two in this picture are actually foster failures who we ended up keeping), and they've all been great with training EXCEPT when it comes to prey drive. They will rip apart and kill any small animal if there is another husky in the room. If they are the only dog in the room, they will obey commands to leave the cat/squirrel/whatever alone. Sometimes they even mistake little dogs as prey. Because of this, they have to always be leashed. Even if they are trained to walk by your side, the moment they see a squirrel, they will dash off.
I love that they never bark at anything, even someone knocking at the door, although they do "talk" sometimes when they want something. They're also incredibly lazy and have never been destructive, but I suppose that could be because they have each other to play with.
>>875140The blowing coat thing does suck. And a lot of huskies don't like to be brushed. Some do, but some don't, and they will howl while you brush them. Luckily, one of mine doesn't make any noise ever and the other one makes a weird, soft, purring noise. Never heard another dog do it. My parents' howl like crazy though.
