but it really depends on what you mean by live out of...

ie if you mean Chris McCandless kind of live out of... then yes usmc pack
if you mean hostel to hostel, or something similar than id go with something smaller and lighter

Something that's actually made to be usefull, comfortable and durable.
As an aside- Ive been in the military. Do not buy anything they use except maybe Tactical Taylor. The rest is low-bid chinese shit. And you look like a douche walking around with a camo pack.

bomb proof and solid as hell. Pricey but you get what you pay for. Olive Drab isnt too bad compared to that MARPART or ACU crap either.

Is there any packs that aren't camo but still have the same sort of shit that the camo packs have? I just want a standard black one I can use for weekend trips or camping. But im not a fan of the camo.
