My last job gave me a 50% discount on CRKT, and Kershaw, but only 2 weeks out of the year, and I got laid off before that time came. I'm quite upset, and I cant see myself paying full price.

Looking at the other two brands, seem to both go for $40+
I am honestly looking for something $20 or under, I abuse the hell out of my blade at work, and I dont want to carry something that nice on me.

1/4'' thick blades are way overrated - 1/8'' thick with good quality steel (O1, A2, 3V, etc.) is very durable, and slices much better.

There are tons of Kershaws too if you don't like the RAT. Also Byrd, Spyderco's budget brand.

Opinel if you want carbon steel.

And get a ferro rod. You can start fires and sharpen the knoife at the same time!

Pretty solid knife. Never hear any real complaints...When I do, it's mostly about how they don't like the grind, would prefer some thing else, like a convex grind.

I like them both. If you are trying to be budget friendly, I'd go with condor for that. The leather sheaths that come with the knives are pretty damn nice.

I carry not mine, pic related. The Condor Hudson bay. Hell of a knife, I got it for only 45 dollars. Sheath alone is worth that almost.

It depends on what type of knife you want here

Condor has a lot more variety, so they might have something Ontario doesn't have

They can all cut through cardboard and cut paper after. One 8cr13mov, one cpm s30v, one zdp 189. By hitting them against the fence board I mean slashing against it and taking out chunks of it. Thought that would do more than cardboard.
