1) a fixed blade that is cheap, robust and fits into your leg pocket. (essentially your regular mora). Pocket size is about 25x16 cm so the holstered knife should not be longer than 15 cm. Also everything rusts in Estonia, so prefer stainless steel.
2) Get out your money and get some letherman-like multitool. Any fella who is really motivated about their service time will get one anyways and they are actually really practical if you have a shell casing somewhere stuck in your gun or need to repair something. Also they fit into anywere.
You can also get lucky with your bayonet. I personally got a pretty sharp one, and it stayed sharp until the end, only minor sharpening.
