Time in hand is brief, but I am loving my ceramic edc blade!

Very light weight, lets face it, with proper saw and axe (fuck hatchets) all you need a blade for is opening plastic packages and cutting pieces of moleskin for your tenderfeet!

Never needs sharpening, saves wieght of sharpening stone!

Sure it'll be fine if you go /out/ to gamestop once a week or use it for 4chan pics. But in reality its more expensive, incredibly fragile, and not much sharper than steel. Sure steel has to be touched up once a month if you use it to cut food and boxes open, but even then nobody carries a stone with them.

I take back my expensive notion. Apparently these chinesesium material blades are $12 on amazon. I just bought 4 of them OP, thanks for sharing.

Not true. It does hold an edge for a very long time but it needs to be sharpened eventually and when that happens, it needs to be professionally done.

Cooking with a ceramic knife is fucking incredible. They are extremely sharp and makes cutting all manner of things a breeze. That said, using it as an edc is fucking retarded. They are brittle as fuck and having one will greatly limit what you can cut without Damaging your blade.
