I have one, it's okay. I only carry it when it's freezing outside so I don't have to pull my pants and long johns down and risk getting pee on them. It's also convenient for bringing to places where you might have to use a porta-potty, especially for shorter women who can't squat over the nasty seat without touching it.

It's not really worth it unless it's cold outside, I just find somewhere without really tall plants and squat there if it's spring-fall.

Thing is if you squat (I usually lean against a tree), it splashes everywhere. My boots and lower pant legs get splattered with piss. You also have to undress a fair bit too.
