out dove hunting at west texas ranch 15000 acres. out alone late in the season. shot all the shells i had and several dove. getting late in the evening walking back to toward truck sun is going down snakes centipedes and other crawling shit starts coming out. See Something in the grass by my truck moving strange , I Stop dead, it has a kind of jerky movement. I try to focus to see what it is. holy fuck its a mountian lion next to my truck. It stands there shakes its head and doesnt look at all concerned by me. it stands there shakes its head and does this jerkey movement then chews at its paw. I am too close to this thing so i walk back a little ways up the road and try to keep my eye on it. I am out of ammo and dont know what im going to do to get to my truck. I wait a little while and it starts wandering my direction still making jerky movements and now making a low growling sound. I keep backing up with my eyes on it. It starts walking at me now i drop my gun and run out into the high grass i dont see it at all but i feel like its going to jump on me any second. I make a loop back to my truck and jump in the bed and look around in the dark i don't see anything then i get in my truck drive up the road get my gun while looking for the the thing. Dont see it so i leave.

Not a goatmen story but I got a scary story that happened near the woods. I've told this story so many times.

I'm driving home from work pretty late around 12AM, basically where I'm driving is a very long road, 2 lanes total, and surrounded by a bunch of trees and is pretty dark. Looks like a typical fucking scary road or something. Let me get it straight off that I didn't believe in ghosts, so when I saw this girl, late teens, early 20s, I stop by fucking car lol and I ask her what the hells going on. Perfectly normal conversation despite the fact she really didn't want a ride from me. I felt like a stalker/predator for a second with my persisting so I basically said OK and I drove off. Later downs the road I see a bunch of police lights and those sorts, and they stop me and ask me if I've seen a girl lately. I'm literally like "wat" feeling a huge coincidental spine chilling type of shit. They pointed to her SUV and said it hit dead on the truck and would have crushed the driver, blood is everywhere, but the body's missing. I was like the fuck lol and I just keep driving, basically NOPEING the fuck out of it (used to be an extreme athiest fag "OH GHOSTS DONT EXIST FAGGOT").

My car starts getting cold (cliche, i know) and the AC breaks, which could have called for the cold. Makes sense. Anyway driving down a little more I feel a fucking hand on my shoulder. Not a real hand but something was there. HOLY SHIT I'm getting chills writing this. I try to shake it off BUT YOU CAN FUCKING FEEL HOW IT HOLDS ON I WAS SO FUCKING CREEPED OUT i fucking called my fiancee like a bitch and baww'd to her, she said i'm just stressed from work which i knew was bullshit but I believed it anyway, talked to her for a long ass time and then

My car takes a second to start back on and I jet the fuck out of there, go home to my wife, fucking hug her like a bitch and took me forever to fall asleep. I had to keep her up and she watched some shitty movie. Holy shit. then the next day

The next day I really think about what happened. I didn't have work and I thought It might have just been worse than it really would have been beacuse I was pretty fucking scared. I try to google and research my local newspaper online but i didn't find anything about the accident. it made sense since it barely happened but that didnt stop me. anyway blah blah my day goes on and later at night i go back to the place. i go to the nearby shitty family-owned pit-stop type of convenient store and i ask the dude if he knows anything. he said he worked the shift last night same time around 12 and said there was nothing at all. im like what the fuck, and i go buy some milk for my family. literally on the back of the milk carton is a picture (FUCKING CHILLS) OF THE FUCKING GIRLS FACE. A VERY WEIRD CLOSE RESEMBLENCE. I get so freaked out I just buy it, walk out, calmly and confidently throw it down as I'm walking NOPEING the fuck out of it. I get in my car, get the chills, call my wife and cry the way home. I've tried looking it up and newspapers but I've found nothing about the crash. For about the next month or two I was so fucking scared driving home that route from work. Holy shit. This has turned me into a fucking believer, and I have more ghost stories since. Fuck man. That's it.
