Hey /out/ I'm going to Vegas in the summer for a wedding and I have no desire to stay in the big hotels. I was wondering if anyone can recommend any good places near the city to do some backcountry camping. Also, I do all of my camping in the Canadian rockies so I have no real experience with camping in the heat, what are some tips on how to survive in a desert?
