You should try Junction mountain - It used to be a truck-access location(longer day hike, about 27km), but the 2013 floods wiped the bridge access. You have to ford the river just a few hundred feet ahead of some wickedly strong rapids, but the reward is great. You have a really solid trail to yourself, that used to be the access road. Honestly one of the better atmospheres of the hikes I've done.
