Welding is like a lot of blue collar jobs tho where the money is decent but to make good money you gotta getva union gig get trained and certified in some very specific field.

Seems like all i hear from pipe fitters, electricians, plumbers and the like is welders get all the $$$$

Like I know a dude who was an underwater welder so you gotta be a good diver and welder. He had to travel for work a lot but when he was underwater, he was making stupid money. IIRC it was something like $150+ an hour.

All who you know too. If you could get in with a good railroad or some shit, you would be set with a job until you retire at 50 with a fat pension.

In Canada pretty much all trades make more 'electrians/pipe fitters/HVAC etc.'. Welders here make like 24 bucks an hour as journey men and your breathing in a ton of toxic shit.
