I'm planning a big trip across Europe this summer that will involve hitchhiking and camping in some of the awesome national parks across Europe, starting from my home in the UK.

I want to do this alone but a friend got wind of it when drunk and in my foolish state I said he could come along, and now he's trying to change my plans. I want him out.

But then someone said to me that this kind of trip alone could be dangerous. So I come to you, /out/: do you often go alone when going /out/doors? If I keep this guy with me he is going to try and make us do everything he wants to do and trample all over my grand trip idea.
