>>95550Currently, my Captain of the Guard ignored my order for everyone to come inside during a siege.
He stood alone on the bridge as the goblin horde advanced.
After taking down two of the brutes, a troll broke both of his legs with a terrible sweep of its arm.
I ordered the bridge to be dropped.
The bridge crashed down on the troll, pulverizing him into a fine bloody mist.
But, the goblin horde had advanced. Two arrows pierced the captain, one in the left shoulder and one in the right lung.
Obviously this was not good.
As he lost consciousness, the last thing he saw was my 15 man militia and 20+ war dogs storming across the bridge.
The battle raged all around him.
2 dwarves were lost, both new recruits. I didnt count the dogs.
But a goblin army of ~50 and 16 trolls were repelled that day.
The captain is healing in the hospital, with round the clock care of my 5 doctors.
I intend to use the goblin bones in crafts, to be worn by my army.
Such is life in Ironangered.
