>>934739Bear in mind that a lot of those cheap headlamps (and torches in general) have Cree knockoff LEDs in them with a nasty blue tint. Not necessarily a bad thing, but they have garbage colour rendering at night (which may be problematic for the intended use). Also a lot of those cheap batteries with absurd capacities are lying, almost every time.
I'm looking for one for myself. Haven't found a good one yet, but some advice would be to look for something packing a Cree XP-L with a neutral-warm colour tint (4000-5500K). AA batteries are convenient, but with how cheap good rechargeable lithium cells are these days, I'd grab one that takes 'em. Unless you find one that's got a charger built in. Doesn't bother me personally, though.
I know from personal experience that the LED Lenser H7.2 isn't a bad bit of gear, albeit a bit pricey for what it is. Colour tint's way too cool for my liking, however.
