>>940350I've been to the ocean/beach for countless vacations and trips. I love the biology of it, what lives in it and how they function. I especially love estuaries, they teem with life that can only be found there. Salmon fishing in northern California/Oregon was amazing, there's a lot I haven't even experienced about the ocean, snorkeling and diving to name a few.
But holy fuck do I hate beaches. They're crowded and commercialized to all fuck. I think when a lot of people, especially on this board, say they hate the ocean they really mean they hate the beaches and the areas around it. At least here in southern California its fucking impossible to get any sort of privacy or quiet along the coast.
