Im buying a Jervenbag this week for use as a sleeping bag, tarp, poncho, shelter.

Getting the Hunter model for more coverage and sleeping bag capability.

Yeah they are pricey, but I read into them a while ago and read many reviews and watched YouTube clips and i have convinced myself its worth the cost due to its funcionality and durability.

I have the basic one without any insulation (Fjellduken original) in woodland camo.

the original is just aluminium on one side to reflect body heat and waterproof on the other side so I don't use it as a sleeping bag, I use it as a tarp and bivvy bag (usually to keep my legs and feet warm when I'm sitting still during autumn and winter). It's more like a quality space blanket that won't rip apart, and with zippers and holes you can configure it in different ways.

A budget option is the bivvies from SOL. They're cheaper but less versatile.

Looks like a meme trying to combine different products which functions badly as each individual one.

Shelter, Rain Gear, Camo, Looking inconspicuous etc. Just buy items that actually function for their respective purposes.

For me its av must have when I have to sit still on a hunting post for hours and its cold.
I also used it when we sat down on cross country skiing trip. Very comfy.

I agree that it looks goofy when you wear it as a poncho but thats just an emergency option. I always wear a good jacket and pants and have never worn mine as a poncho.

Its been in use for many years this product first came out in the 70s. I understand that people are sceptical to a product theyve never heard of before. But its not a bad tarp from my experience it works. Just keep in mind it doesnt breathe as well as a normal sleeping bag since its designed to keep water out completely.
