I stuff them in to my back pack and let them stick out a bit. I'm about to buy 20mm ammo cans to.use as saddle bags though, and when I do that I'll use U bolts and PVC pipe (painted black) to build rod holders. Then I can slip on a swivel hitch, ultralight trailer, cheap kayak on top, rock and roll
(I figure if a pedal bike can drag a kayak I can get one rolling pretty good too)
