Check out the book 'wild ruins' by Dave Hamilton. It lists lots of abandoned castles, churchs and mills which are /out/.

I envy the shit out of Europeans. All the ancient ruins and historical places you have access to. I mean, I get it, I understand they're not scattered all over the place and most are probably private property/museums, but even the fact that the land was involved in this incredible history is awesome.

Yes the Anasazi ruins are cool, but There isn't much else besides that aside from some scattered burial mounds.

Also try living in the Midwest.

All the really cool Pre-Columbian shit is in Central America.

Also, I personally find Colonial and Civil War history painfully boring.
