harding et al climbed the nose in 1958, and you're referring to royal robins chopping harding's bolts on the route wall of the early morning light, which is to the east of the nose, out of sight in my picture.
thanks to pinscarring, the nose now goes free at .14a, other lines on el cap go as easy as .12d, and wall of the early morning light has recently gone free as the dawn wall at .14d, iirc.
