>>992611Control your autism, I have temporarily surfaced from lurkdom for practical startingtier camping advice not to hound you for child support. All of you can go whatever fucking way you want.
>>992666I'm hoping to work up to off-path hiking. I have zero problems working through exhaustion (have KP'd and worked 2nd job as housekeeper for years till very recently, now I only do the housekeeping), the only issue is 4'11"+unfitness = intolerable slowness for everyone around me. Plus, off-path for Scots is generally steep slopes which sets off my height autism even when everyone else around me comes right up and down no problem. Any tips for conquering that or is it genuinely just "try not to expect death"?

See, all the books my bf has/youtube vids we watch together/this board/net stuff assumes I'm a fit-ish male of normal height with a car and at least some outdoor experience and not living in an unpredictable mountainous region, which I'm not or I wouldn't be here stating my exact circumstances.
>>992683Ty, this is actually helpful.
Buying a new tent in the next few weeks in prep for summer, going to also get the high vis mora knife I think.
I'm wary of going alone though because Scotland is 100% hills and if I get stuck up a hill/it snows i probably die lol, English people always seem to.
I also don't think it's appropriate for me to join a normie walking group bc as I said I basically move at toddler pace after about half an hour and it'd be kind of unfair if they were to made to wait. But as I said, my own friends either hate the sun or are more clueless than I am. Would be absolutely no problem if I could get bf to take me but idk.. what would be a suitable compromise I could offer to get him /out/ with me?
