>>1005648>>1005507Dude, just stop. For starters, I'd consider myself a proficient hunter, and swordsman of many styles, and I'd never be so arrogant to think that an animal could never get the better of me. Other animals are inherently unpredictable to us, which is what makes them dangerous. Anyone can be caught off guard, at any time. Studying swordsmanship aims to lessen the incidence, and to cope when it happens. Plus, I've trained my senses seriously for ~15 years (and I only have the 5), and I still get caught off-guard. True, I'm annoyed, and try to cover it up when it happens, but it still happens.
And fuck off with that aura bullshit, this isn't Bleach. With any predator, the decision to attack is weighed against the risk of injury, essentially, whether the food you'll get is worth the fight. It's all about what you look/sound like to them, not some hocus pocus shit.
And have you ever actually seen a grizzly bear? And wounded as well?! That would not be a fair fight, a swing of its paw would break your arm like a twig. Or even if you landed a killing blow, it's likely to fall on you, where you'll suffocate.
Also, don't call yourself a swordsman and back it up with sports fencing, when that's pretty much tag with pipe cleaners. Plus, I bet you use foils. And I bet you use spinning attacks.
>>1005394Truer words have never been spoken. I think you can tell when they romanticise swordplay so much, like they were born in fucking 1690.
