for winter in the deep south however i have found that basketball shorts and these pants are best combined for batshit weather like in louisiana and central texas, where one day it's sunshine and bunnies and then the next day it's wiffle balls of hail and my windshield smash and me standing outside like an idiot like 'what the fuck just happend'

they're super-thin though, easy to pack like gore-tex trousers, also cinch and button at the
ankles so you can get away without using gaiters if going through dense wet brush as they are nylon pants
for $45 they're a steal though, primarily because Beyond Clothing tried to be greedy as fuck and retails them for $350
