>>985893for that amount of money you can buy a brand spanking new one with a nice 12h diesel inboard.
my outboard is 4HP, works just fine for me, when it gets choppy in the fjords, its not enough but then you can sail so that doesnt matter. I inspected my boat on land, was in a boathouse.
Murdock(boatname) looked rough at first glance, anti fauling was peeling like mad, he was dirty, the cabin floor was coated in a layer of rust because the engine had rusted in there with a layer of water in it for a while. I washed him, cleaned him up, and it all looked great. I kind of just said fuck it its just 800$ itll float for a while. Not a sign of osmosis made me really positive to the buy aswell.
Im 22, 21 when i bought Murdock, I reccomend picking up sailing when still young, I was lucky and grew up sailing from I could walk so the boatlife is nothing new to me. I lived on it last winter, was rough but manageble. I'm currently known as ''the boat hobo'' locally though...
overall its a great experience being young on a boat, chicks love it and always wanna come along for a sail during the summers (bring 2 bottles of wine though!).
