>>983708I'll look at Angler's Log. I've been using Fishbrain and my only real complaint is that they don't have a majority of my lures available to add in their "My Tacklebox" section of the app. But how could they? The amount of tackle out there would be impossible to keep updated on their end. That leads to my biggest gripe with apps which is not being in complete control of the data and being limited to the available fields of the app.
Right now I use a combination of a weatherproof fishing journal and my cell phone's camera/GPS/EXIF/etc capabilities to log time, weather conditions, location and such. I think with enough time I'll be able to come up with a pretty solid system. The outline is already in my head, putting it to practice is the hard part. A plain old spreadsheet is working and helps get the idea out but is kind of ugly.
I'm gonna start looking at Codecademy's revamped HTML/CSS course and probably PHP... then see if I can make some kind of WebUI with fancy buttons, images, and all that nifty shit. Maybe get more advanced and be able to identify what works when and why, or at least theorize about it with actual data.
>>983874We used to use one of those collapsible crab baskets on a rope to bring heavier fish up when pier fishing. Pic related.
>>984075>I would personally go with a hard make lure allumalite mold over siliconeYeah, If I bite the bullet I'm going all in. Definitely want as close as I can get to metal production molds. Something I can use for years to come without fear of heat sensitivity, accidental tearing or such.
>>984097The bulk, along with the jig spinner wire frames, came from Rock Island Custom Rigs & Jigs on ebay. Some I picked up at a Gander Mountain in Pennsylvania and they're Northland brand hex colorado blades, but those are expensive even online. The split rings I forget the brand of but they also came from ebay along with the AFW Mighty-Mini crane swivels (size 12).
