>>4386219I'll do you one better, here's some stuff I've done. I actually got yelled at by SCTA safety coordinators for getting so close and they almost banned me from all future events over it, anyway....
Any time I have people in my shot or groups of people I do two things, I make them the primary subject.
>>4386012 R34 GT-Rs are cool but what is a lot more interesting are the people in the background. People make the best subjects, their facial expressions, how light plays on their faces, how they interact in and out of frame and what they are looking at, if I can fit it in frame.
The second thing I do is I give them something to look at, if possible. People are products of, and react to their environment. My goal at times is to capture that interaction, and in the case of my image, it's an interaction with two people amongst themselves. The man on the left is a safety coordinator who tells the racer on the right about track conditions, wind, he makes sure the racer is belted in and the car is good to go.
That's a tall order for someone at night walking the streets of Japan and I can give you the benefit of the doubt on that one. And I would have still got the shot of the R34 those are cool, but then I would have tried to capture the people interacting with it or seeing it going down the road.
