>>4399326qrd is due to bankruptcy kodak is 2 companies.
Kodak A manufactures film and can sell movie film to anyone making movies but can only sell stills film to kodak B
Kodak B doesn't produce fill but has exclusive rights to sell kodak stills film
Cinestill started buying kodak movie film and selling that
cinestill became super popular because people like the cine look, because halation aside, they look like movie stills. other companies have now tried to buy and repackage kodak movie film
cinestill tried to copyright 800t which makes no sense since its a film speed and white balance and tried to make deals with kodak to make it easier for them to sell cinestill and harder for the upstarts to sell kodak movie film
Kodak B apparently just learned what the fuck is going on for some reason, even though cinestill has been a thing for a while, so Kodak A will no longer sell movie film unless you can prove you are actually making a movie (ie you need to provide director, production house, ect)
what it seems like is happening is Kodak B is basically going to kill all the noncinestill resellers, idk what will happen to cinestill and kodak b will sell kodak movie film for stills at a marked up rate compared to what we are paying now
