>>4415757No, the idea that the s5ii isn't worth buying if the s5iii comes out. If you are satisfied with the s5ii to buy it, it will not magically get worse when the new camera comes out. Hence you should still be happy with it.
>but my value for money! I need to get the most for my dollarYou can pick up a brand new one on apparently fire sale for the same price as a used copy ($1500) right now. The s5iii will be $2000, if not more, it'll likely be more with the weird tariff situation/inflation/greed. Even assuming a $2000 msrp. The s5iii will not be $500 better. You will get marginal gains on autofocus and video performance, which are probably already way better than you need to them be. You will have to wait months for it to release and there isn't a guarantee that you'll even be able to buy one at launch with scalpers. Maybe the camera have serious bugs on release, but maybe it won't.
Are you really wanted to wait 6-12 months and spend $500 more to get a higher number on the body? Even if the s5iii comes out and it's completely revolutionary (it won't be), you'll be able to sell the s5ii for probably close to what you paid and only lose a couple hundred bucks.
It makes no real sense to wait, it's just pure fomo
