Do these little things you put in front of a light to shape it have a name?
I want to boy a certain flashlight but I'm not sure what to search for to see if there is an option to mount these things in front of it and otherwise I might just get pic-rel, even though it's more expensive

Okay, but we're talking about fujifilm here, and an xe5 even if it's 40mp will be noticeably worse than any real camera due to wormtrans and the inferior sensor size. It's basically a midpoint luxury toy for better quality than a phone while not being a real camera.

it makes perfect sense to put a pancake on an xe4 or future xe5. xtrans cant resolve detail anyways. no one will even want to zoom in on it. you'll be resizing every photo to a 4x6 to hide the worms and color bleed.

I ordered a Nikon D5300 to learn with. Seems like a well-rounded camera. The D3300 was cheaper for mostly the same features, but my wife insisted on the articulating screen for her own purposes.

Tldr version: is used Tamron SP 24-70mm F/2.8 Di VC G2 worth buying if I need fast variable length lens for my D750 camera?

Full version: I'm using Nikon D750 camera and, among other things, enjoy photographing events or concerts for fun. Last year, when photographing idol cosplayers "concert", I initially mounted 70-200 2.8 lens but turned out that, unlike what I expected, there was little space between scene and crowd, forcing me to stay rather close to the scene. I quickly switched to 24-120 f/4 lens (that Nikkor one with VR) but I was wondering - would it be good idea to grab faster lens like mentioned 24-70 2.8? I can buy mentioned model for half the price, only flaw that shop point out is "tiny scar on the front glass, without impact on photos themselves" (I was buying second hand glasses from these guys before, they can be trusted, plus I would still visit them myself). At the other hand, would that truly be improvement over my Nikkor 24-120 f/4 VR? In before - back then I absolutely couldn't "zoom with feet" and scene was rather dark while I had to keep shutter at 1/200 or 1/250, with usually high ISO.

I can only speak of the canon equivalents of these lenses but there the upgrade from the f4-level lenses to the f2.8 level lenses is super worth it. Not only brighter but also generally more pleasing rendering and sharpness.

Do you think that this "tiny scar" really won't have impact on photos? All second hands I used so far had clean front glasses, one really cheap lens had something that could be fungus but it was still not showing on photos themselves.

Most front lens issues have little to no impact on results. You can ask for example shots, and what part of the lens is affected it might be possible it is actually outside of the frame, especially if it is towards the edge of the lens.

I bought a cheap £20 Canon film camera and a 50mm F1.8 lens to take on walks, I like it and film is nice but a bit of a pain to send to the lab etc. I am thinking of going full autismo and doing my own developing and printing/scanning. I can get a Nikon z5 new for £500 and add a macro lens - would this be good enough to do scans? and would it be serviceable as a day to day digital camera with a zoom lens? When I don't want to take out film?

I echo the other guys sentiment, nice photo. The thing with film is it doesn't really have any advantage. Digital is more conducive to learning, cheaper in the long term, less hassle, and the quality of a modern FF body is much better. Add onto that the modern tech in that body, better AF, metering, burst rates, IS and IBIS, better lenses. Film does have a look and people liking that is completely valid, but you can also very closely replicate that with digital.

What are your goals with this setup?

Adapting latest-gen dlsr lenses has the cost advantage if you go for used market. It will not deliver in being top of the line in autofocus speed or image quality. It will also not be <the cheapest no matter what>.

I need something (ideally AF) to fill the 50-100mm and 20-40mm gaps in my z mount/adapted lenses. Alternatively I've also been considering a pair of primes; f mount 85 1.4 / z mount 85 1.8 or similar & some kind of 24-28mm. Nikon's z mount 24-70's are obviously in consideration but I'm on the fence rendering wise.

I just got a 420-800mm of/8.3 vivitar(t mount so I use an EF-S adapter) and a tripod in hopes of taking better pictures of the moon, spent 100 dollars on them. I have an 800D/Rebel T7i. I couldn't do much research cause I'm traveling soon and needed to order quick. Did I mess up? And what gear would you recommend for moon and landscape photography?

no ibis but a good way to play with ccd sensors if you already have k mount lenses

only pentax I don't recommend are k10ds because they have unfixable back focus issues (has to do with the af sensor slipping due to age) and k5/k7/k50/k70 for aperture solenoid issues
