>>4442111It just kinda comes with time, I think. As for me, the understanding went as follows
>rule of thirds, keep camera straight, yadda yadda>then realized that trying to get a clean frame with things I want in it and with as little other objects as possible is a big deal>then started thinking about the frame more in terms of geometric structure, from basic tricks like using environment to create a cute little frame around the subject, to attempts of leading lines/shapes that either lead towards, or wrap around the subject>then started hearing "nice composition" from people every now and thenAnd I think I'm currently still in progress of trying to get good at last two points. Regardless, I've heard an unrequested "nice composition", so as far as my amateur ass is concerned, I think I'm doing an okay job. Last one is particularly important, it rarely happens, but when I find something in the environment that I can use to point at the subject, it always looks lovely.
Take your time, it'll come on its own as long as you keep thinking about it.
