Yeah, there is no other review resource for the hundreds of excellent Nikkor lenses. He’s an egomaniacal lunatic in his copy and an absolute arsonist when it comes to his own photography, but his Aspergers is quite useful when picking out just the right 1970s lens.

If neuNikon gave half a fuck about their users they’d have all their lenses archived online themselves, with even better examples and data for review.

That poor, poor, delusional retard. And I mean that literally and from the bottom of my heart. He's "anti-talent". He has no eye for it. No feel for tones, lighting, and composition. No sense for beauty or aesthetics. He's as dumb as a sack of shit. That's the artistic side. He's equally as retarded regarding the technical side of things. 20 years ago I used to laugh at his work, and mock his little affiliate link hustle and his retarded blog and his idiotic takes on photography meant for an audience even more clueless than him. Nowadays I just pity him. He's like the mall-ninja of photography - lots of second hand embarrassment, lacking any and all ability for self-reflection, growth, and improvement in his field, and utterly incapable of getting in phase with reality. Over the past 20 years he has learned fuck all, and I've grown enough during that time to realize that this is is actually sad.

I mean it's not just that, it's the heavy editing and composite shots that while yes, I still believe is a form of photography, is a bit fucky to pass off as reality and/or your default photo output.
Like, it's consistently the same thing which treads a fine line between integrity and being overdone.

Kockwell would be a better photographer if he laid off the sat slider and the predictable colours, but unironically it would make him a less pronounced figure in the community.
