>>4484890NTA but I sold my Canon R5C since the prices on it are still fairly high for the body, kept most of the accessories and ended up getting a Nikon ZR because the Canon RAW LT files are heavier than the R3D NE files on the ZR.
I love both cameras, but the price point and weather sealing on the ZR is hard to beat. I do mostly cinema/filmmaking work and work exclusively in Resolve anyway, so the lens compatibility with the ZR makes more sense. 8K is nice for punching in but even working on a 4K timeline, I haven't noticed as much of a difference between the 45MP 8K R5C and 6K 24MP ZR in terms of picture quality when using the same glass. Both can shoot pictures of course, and the Canon has a nice view finder but you can easily add one to the ZR. Just food for thought for anyone looking at FX3 style box cine cams.
