Can you destroy a lens by leaving it outside in the sun? I'm stressed right now. I left my Canon EF 135mm f/2L outside on the patio during daytime for 3-4 days in a row (took it in at night to protect it from the cold). I did it because I thought some UV rays could help remove some of its musty odor (I bought it used). But now it cannot focus properly, even giving me error code sometimes when connected to my EOS R6. Images are soft/blurry and there are artifacts in various spots.
I'm really bummed. This was my favorite lens.
