I don't know what exactly you are looking for but, the 28-135(~$200) is an absolutely fantastic lens. The 24-105(~$100) is also pretty good.
But if you want something longer, the beercan 70-210mm and big beercan 75-300mm both run from around ~$100-200 depending on quality.
If you want something really long, Minolta has one of the only (if not the only) autofocus mirror lens. At 500mm, it costs around $200-300. I plan on picking one up myself one of these days.
