Lets say 85mm is a typical protrait lens but you wont find a s35 equivalent, only 50(75)mm. No 135(90)mm either.
Is it because the specific look a specific focal length creates just became a standard over time by repeated usage and cinematography and photography just got their own standards?
If so, why do the large format (35mm) lenses share the same focal lengths as the S35 ones and now match typical 35mm lenses?
