I'll post 2 images at full resolution so people can actually judge corners, sharpness, aberrations, etc. The macro thing has a push button you have to use to move it into macro mode, but does not have one to lock it into that mode. It is as heavy as a brick and feels as solid as a tank. I'm sure it can be used as a blackjack in a pinch. I did some extreme contrast pics then pixel peeped and upped saturation. It has the same amount of CA as my kit 70-300mm lens set at 200mm. The only real problem is that the DOF is pretty thin at 200mm with the 35-200mm or at least the focus indicator light in the D3400 thinks so.
The D3400's aperture arm does hit the aperture arm of the 35-200mm so I chopped it off the lens.
