>>2588190"Metered just fine" is highly subjective. It's better to use your histogram. In this photo, for instance, something like 75% of your values are on the "dark" side. This is a good indicator that something is underexposed if you don't have anything particularly dark in your scene (and a middle-to-light grey cat and some grass isn't really "dark").
