>>2991257Exactly. Some of them *are* hot. I know a few who are actual models, one or two are of the nude variety. Several of whom I've been asked to shoot but referred it to people who shoot that shit regularly. People assuming I can shoot everything as effectively as I capture candids is a classic mistake people make, so I just defer it to people with the experience and cringe-resistance to do that.
There's a couple of them I'd gladly shoot if they were to actually want to set it up. But they are seriously beautiful, and i can get genuine expressions out of them, so it would be pretty straight forward and low stress.
I pretty much avoid that sort of thing though. Too much like work, and not everyone is as beautiful as they think.
I don't photoshop.
>unlike Eggy i don't relateI suspect that's only because I am familiar with internet culture, have done pretty much everything they do 'recreationally', and can hold a conversation on whatever level is happening.
Otherwise I'm probably more of a cool uncle. They still totally recognise that I'm an adult and different to them in that respect. The islander (kiwi/samoan/etc) kids almost always start out calling me 'sir', like I'm a teacher. Until they learn my name.
However, re the sexual thing everyone is harping on like it's the only issue in play: Ultimately they are all totally out of my league, they are young and beautiful, and I am old and bitter. I wouldn't generally want to tangle with the chaos of a woman that young anyway, their world is totally different to mine. Being able to hang out occasionally, converse and hear the gossip is refreshing enough. Being able to walk away is golden.
It's interesting that almost all of the cool people i've met can distinguish between aesthetic appreciation vs sexualization. THATS why I can relate to them. They know I recognise that they look stylish, hot, pretty, etc, and that my only interest is to record it for them.
Yet haters aggressively refute this ordinary concept.
