to contribute to the discussion, i shot about a year with the ef-s 55-250 IS STM and the lens suprised me, autofocus is faster and more precise than my usm lenses , IS also works good and image quality is good for the price(200€).
very statisfied with the lens.
but iam thinking about selling my canon 60D with lenses and buy an a6000 because iam doing mainly video now and i have problems maintaining focus on the subject with this tiny screen on the canon without any focus assistance(magic lantern focus peak flickers like crazy), so iam looking for a cam with continous focus in video
thinking about buying the a6000 bundle with the 16-50, 55-210 for 850€ .
what are the pros/ cons iam not being aware of?
Pros:
better video Quality and
more dr
AF while filming,
lighter
Cons:
battery is draining faster
no optical viewfinder
am i missing crucial stuff?
ot should i wait till the a7000 with 4k is released?
