>>4392996Awesome! You've ran into many of the struggles with view cameras so far, more to come. :D If you think you'll be doing a lot of low light stuff get a fresnel if you don't have one, and possibly a better GG if it seems dim. Fresnel makes it much brighter, but can get in the way of focusing a bit. I don't like them, but ymmv.
Macro LF is very different from all other shooting, but also kinda the same as smaller format macro. The way I like to think of it is the bellows extension you set is your magnification. After you have your desired magnification you move either subject or camera to get into rough focus. After that you use the rear standard for fine focus and the front standard for coarse focus. You can use the rear standard just as well as the front for focal plane manipulation and it can be very convenient if your bellows extension make the front standard too far to reach. Also get that clear glass back standard!!!!
>>4392989Absolutely based. Now you can focus that autism on something cool like super high magnification LF macro.
Believe it or not this little 25mm lens has enough coverage to shoot 8x10 at about 15x-20x magnification. Pic is around 10x on 4x5.
On an 8x10 the 35mm equivalent is 3mm focal length lol.
