>>3860499I'm not going to talk about focal lengths as everyone got their own taste in those and you'd be foolish to pick one on someone else's opinion instead of experience. Especially since you have a zoom lens, take a look at your exifs and decide which one you find yourself using the most. Or challenge yourself with something new, just don't taoe another anons opinion as a gospel. However, the 35 will obviously do better with portraits.
Now the differences between the xf f2s and f1.4 lenses is that the 1.4 lenses are not weather sealed, are sliiiightly larger (really not by a appreciable amount to me though) and have a slightly slower and louder focusing motor, which means that it goes from completely unnoticeable on f2 lenses to slight clicking in normal conditions. If it can't find focus the full focus search motion produces an amusing buzz, which you might not like, but that only ever happened to me when inducing such a situation intentionally.
So in every apsect but the fact that it's one stop brighter it's just slightly worse than the f2 lens, which frankly feels more like a sidegrade rsther than directly better or worse lens. You might consider the faster lens for portraits though, if you are aiming for better bokeh.
