I think it's ethically justifiable to shoot someone dead who tries to mug you. However! You don't know how killing somebody is actually going to affect you mentally, but also, there is no camera equipment in the world that I would kill someone to protect simply because I don't want the trouble. The prospect of potentially being dragged through the courts and through the mud by the media? Fuck all of it, no thanks. Just insure and let them have it, it's far, far easier on yourself which is what matters. You can move on with your life a whole hell of a lot easier and more quickly.
