That's what I meant when writing that composition is one of the less important factors. Still, there are more factors that influence the quality of a shot and if it was easy to combine all these, everybody would be a great photographer. However, I'm wondering if it would have been better to put the hat into the golden ratio by framing more left. This way, the guy on the left would have been at a third. The only downside would have been loosing the "layer" of the people at the right, who do not add to the photo itself. Still, I had to take that shot to realize this and act accordingly next time - you don't know if a photo works if you don't take it.
