>>4169729No, you still get moire in Foveon despite their marketing.
Foveon are lying niggers who spew garbage fake news about their products but their sensor tech IS actually good. I'm calling them lying niggers because they literally lie about their product and pic very much related. 5520x3680 is definitely NOT 60.9MP. That's simply a true RGB 20.3MP. With their fake news marketing team these niggers would literally tell you a quart of milk is a gallon just because they pet the cow and they deserve to be called out despite how innovating and good a fullRGB sensor design is.
The truth is, Foveon only eliminates moire based on color variations, their low inherent resolution is still susceptible to luminance/greyscale/black+white moire and that's a problem that only goes away with more resolution.
You can't capture 80 line pairs with a 160x160 sensor, even with perfect optics 0.0001 degree of misalignment or imperfection would yield artifacts. A 320x320 sensor would have no problem with the same subject.
Same problem exists for a 160 line pairs with a 320x320 sensor, but the point is a gigapixel or around there would knock all moire bullshit down to patterns we normally don't see in real life with our own eyes. When you're driving on a highway overpasses with chainlink fences on both sides will create moire patterns to our naked eyes IRL but that's acceptable, moire patterns in CLOTHING or brick patterns or art however is ugly and unnatural to see.
