I was wondering if it could be possible to convert a old 35mm film camera to capture digital images? I was thinking of putting a raspberry pi zero w/ a camera module inside where the film would be, and setting the raspberry pi to take a picture when the shutter was open (probably using light sensitivity). The camera I have in question is a Praktica MTL5 and after removing the "foot" that pressed the film against the shutter, I have just enough space to fit the rpi zero. I plan on putting a li-ion battery in the film cartridge slot. I was wondering if anyone has tried somthing like this before or if anyone would be interested in my project?
