>>3977743no tripod for me. just a camera with good low light sensor, inbody stabilisation for longer shutter times and a relatively wide aperture (for a zoom lense anyways). in these situations i usually run around with auto shutter min set to 1/60 or 1/30, f2.8-~f5 and auto iso with max 12800. ev comp i usually have at -1 and adjust depending on what i see in the liveview. most things around a city at night are exposed decently by this. i do have to note that i do try to keep iso down as much as possible though and will often turn down the min shutter below 1/30, depending on the focal length i shoot at. 1/focallengh seconds you can handhold without stabilisaton and this camera has +5 stops in body stabilisation so i usually go down to about 3/focallengh shooting stationary things. i just have it set at 1/60 most of the time to get somewhat clean in the moment shots of moving things without having to adjust anything. wide aperture is obviously really nice but I'm not afraid to stop it down if i need more of the frame in focus. with these shots today i just let it sit at 1/60 f2.8 auto iso for all the shots though because it was so foggy and i knew i was gonna put a grainy film simulation over it anyways which means some ido noise doesn't matter and getting a softer look due to small depth of field is probably a good thing too in this case because of the film sim because film is a little soft anyways
