First attempt at astro. I know the noise is atrocious but I can only do so much with a d3100 and kit 18-55mm lens. I could have greatly reduced noise and trails by using shorter exposures but I was struggling to get anything bright enough even at 30 seconds and increasing iso just made it even worse without even giving me low enough exposure times to eliminate trails.
