I use an A7R. It's a nightmare for pixel peeping. Once you process and down-rez to a usable size - that all disappears.
You'd be very hard pressed to tell the difference between the handheld images shot with the Sigma 35mm ART vs. a $19.99 28mm f/2.8 FD lens I carry around sometimes.
The quality of lenses at this point have such small differences in resolving power that technique accounts for the majority of sharpness differences in real world images.
Sharpness really doesn't matter all that much anymore - once you get past the really really cheap stuff and superzooms.
