>>3868860It can be, but I’ve really grown to love it over the years, even as i feel my capabilities with composition growing. I’ll stop down when necessary - a few ppl hugging for example, as tgeir faces won’t quite line up in the dof, but for single subjects, I absolutely love the look
Pic related. It’s not even all the way open, but pretty close. It was a pretty fast paced environment so i kept it stopped down a touch to miss less faces. F4 or something like that would lose a lot of the magic and draw too much attention to the bg
