>>3564882They're great, get the 8200i if you plan on doing colour the build in dust remover is a god sent. I have the Plustek 8100 and the Plustek 120 but it needs to be sent in to be repaired.
The workflow with them is super easy, the hardest part is getting the dust off the negative and actually waiting for them to scan, they take around 1-2 mins per frame at 3600dpi. (The 8100/8200i do up to 7200dpi but there's little to no improvement over 3200dpi in my experience, only longer scan times and bigger file sizes).

import to Lightroom
Invert
Fuck around with exposure
Adjust exposure curve
Colour workflow:
Raw scan @ 3600dpi 48bit RGB in Vuescan
Import to Lightroom
Set white balance
Invert with Negative Lab Pro
Fuck around with the sliders in NLP
