So I just recently got a used lens from a private seller. It's a Pana 14-140 f.3.5-5.6. Everything seemed fine there apart from the usual dust business inside the lens, but when I got home I noticed a little dot on the side of the outmost element, on the inside. Checking from the side, and I noticed some weird reflections, like if the glass is cracked under there. Can't see any of that when taking pictures. I'm sorry a shitty phone macro is the most I can give you, but I don't have anything that focuses closer.
I'm thinking maybe the previous owner slammed it shut too hard once and it cracked a bit, if it really is a crack, as when you collapse the lens that part comes very close to a metal ring on the inside of the lens.
Anyone got experience with something similar? Reckon I'm good?
